ES-P Flap Actuator

Postby Jack Schweizer » Thu Jan 09, 2025 11:19 pm

Does anyone have an SKF 24v flap actuator for an ES/ES-P. The part number is CARR22X150X1/D24B. In particular I need the D24B motor or just the winding for the D24B motor. Thank! Any suggestion for a suitable replacement for the whole assembly would also be appreciated.

ES-P Flap Actuator

Does anyone know where to source the SKF flap actuator for an ES-P? Additionally, has anyone found a suitable replacement for the original? Thanks!

It appears SKF still produces the line of linear actuators but these are not a common failure item so make sure it has failed.

You can search Brian's alternate actuator for the Legacy in that forum. They need to move but the limits are governed by the limit switches in the original design. Another style will work using the existing limiting circuits but I do not recommend anyone change the circuits on the Lancairs because it is tested and incorporates limiting and braking. Let us know if you find anything or if you can identify the failure mode if you have one.

It never occurred to me to look in the Legacy section. Brian’s post is exactly what I needed! I ordered a custom built actuator from Progressive Automations using the specs listed in the post. My actuator is definitely bad. The windings are cooked. Thanks!

Although I will be installing a replacement actuator, I would still like to repair the original. So, does anyone have SKF actuator parts? In particular I need a D24B motor. Thanks!

Jack, I would get the motor inspected and repaired. Any competent shop can take a look and any accessory shop can rewind. But, I think the internal has a small SKF motor that may be at fault. Typically a brush or broken wire.

If you want a new one quoted (CARR22X150X1/D24B) I can get that for you. We source the SKF parts and I can ask our vendor to quote the actuator if you wish.
