Vertical Power VP-200 CU

Postby Kevin Johnson » Sun Feb 01, 2026 9:23 pm

I'm looking for a control unit for a VP-200. I know many have updated to the newer units and may have a used CU laying around. I made the mistake of installing the battery backwards.

Let me know if you have one.
Thanks

I found it very easy to work with the Vertical Power people. I would just call them, explain the problem, and plan to send your unit in. They will fix it.

I contacted them and basically they said I needed to purchase a Vpx sport or pro. No help at all.

So if someone here has one for sale, I'd appreciate a reply.

Thanks

That's because it is a different company than the -200 company. The new company never supported the previous company's products because of the hardware failures. That's why anyone buying a new VPX system should use AircraftSpruce as they will (generally) support any of the products they sell.

Lancairtalk is a dealer for ACS and if anyone on this website has a decent order above $250 we can usually save some money and for larger orders we can save quite a bit and still support the website.

I understand about Vertical Power being bought out and that the VP-200 is no longer supported. Just trying to get it repaired without changing out the entire system,

Thanks for your help.

Yep, no support for the vp-200. You'll have to find a used unit in the wild. They're out there...Try the van site as well. Someone will have on sitting on a shelf. Same as Chelton. Good luck

I sent the OP parts which were removed as a VP-200 system for the VP-X but OP informed me they are not VP-200 parts (some had vp-50 stickers on them) so they were returned. The parts are still available to someone who might need them.

Yea, the VP CU looks alike on both. But the VP-200 has a Display Unit where the VP-50 doesn't.
